ANTHONY W. ROMANO & VERNON C. KELLEY
MEMORIAL GRANTS
The Anthony W. Romano and Vernon C. Kelley Memorial Grants were established in memory of two highly esteemed Executive Directors serving in New Hampshire for many years.
The Anthony W. ‘Buddy’ Romano Memorial Grant was established in 1996 recognizing his dedication and commitment to public housing at the Lebanon Housing Authority. Buddy believed in the upward mobility of recipients of housing assistance therefore, it is fitting that the Memorial Grant was formed in his memory.
Vernon C. Kelley was made a part of the Memorial Grant in 2004 in recognition of his compassion and advocacy toward elderly and low income individuals at the Derry Housing and Redevelopment Authority. As a believer in higher education, Vernon attained two Masters Degrees prior to his retirement from the housing field.
The Grants are available to current recipients of housing assistance from a New Hampshire housing authority. Eligible applicants include High school students seeking assistance for post-secondary education goals, non-traditional students (adults) returning to school and one-year renewals for current scholarship recipients.
Sincerely yours,
Grant Committee, New Hampshire Housing Authorities Corporation
